The PSA 3D Division offers two Digital Image sections for the 2013 PSA International:

(1) Open section
(2) Creative section

All entries in the Creative section must conform to the Creative Definition given below.

An entry consists of up to 4 digital 3D pairs in a section by a single person. Entries in each section will be judged in 4 rounds using StereoPhotoMaker on monitors at multiple locations. Judges will use a 15 point scoring system (1-5 points / judge).

All acceptances in each section are eligible for 3D Star Ratings subject to the requirements of the 3D Division.

The exhibition is open to anyone; however, an entry may be rejected when the sponsoring organization or its agent, in its reasonable discretion, believes the entry does not conform to the exhibition rules and conditions.

Creative is defined as “Altered Reality”. Judges will be asked to judge the photographs for overall photographic quality and interest, not the amount of manipulation required to achieve the effect.

The maker’s name and/or the image title must not be in the image area or in any other area visible to the judges of any digital files, slides or prints. This includes copyrights.

An image (or a nearly identical in-camera duplicate) previously accepted in any PSA International 3D or Stereo Division section, regardless of media, is not eligible for entry in any 3D Division section of the 2013 PSA International.

Informative Note: PSA Recognized Exhibitions are not "THE" PSA International Exhibition. Images accepted in PSA Recognized Exhibitions but not in a past 3D or Stereo section of the PSA International Exhibition may be submitted in the 3D Division sections of the 2013 PSA International.

The same image may not be submitted in more than one 3D Division Section of the 2013 PSA International regardless of the media. This means images submitted in one 3D Digital Section may not be submitted in the other 3D Digital Section, the 3D Slide Section of the 3D Print section. Please note: Different images with the same title or the same image with different titles will still be considered the same image.

Entries must originate as photographs (image-captures of object via light sensitivity) made by the entrant on photographic emulsion or acquired digitally. By virtue of submitting an entry, the entrant certifies the work as his/her own and permits the sponsors to reproduce all or part of the entered material free of charge for publication and/or display in media related to the exhibition. This will include the Exhibition (audio-visual program) of the accepted images to be shown at the 2013 PSA Conference and may include use in the PSA Journal and low resolution posting of acceptances on a web site. Images where entrants do not give this permission will be disqualified. The exhibition assumes no liability of any misuse of copyright. All final work must be on photographic film, digital file, on photographic print material or digital print material. Digital images may be acquired digitally or scanned from traditional film to create a digital file. Images may be altered, either digitally or otherwise, by the maker and artwork or computer graphics created by the entrant may be incorporated if the photographic content predominates.

Images accepted in this Exhibition will be eligible for inclusion in 3D Division Star Ratings applications by PSA members subject to the requirements of the 3D Division. An on-line 8½"x11" PDF Exhibition Catalog listing all acceptances in all four Photo Travel Sections of the 2013 PSA International Exhibition is included with your entry fee. A link will be included on the Exhibition Web Site www.psaexhibition.com so you can email the Catalog to yourself and save as an electronic file and/or print out. The Catalog will be formatted for printing on both standard 8½"x11" paper and standard A4 (8-1/4”x12”) paper. This is the same Catalog that will be provided to the 3D Division Star Ratings Director and the 3D Division Who's Who Director and includes color reproductions of the medal winning pairs. Printed hard copies of the Catalogs will not be mailed the the entrants.

Open Section

1-PSA Gold Medal; 1-PSA Silver Medal; 1-PSA Bronze Medal, 6-PSA Honorable Mention Ribbons

Creative Section
PSA Awards
1-PSA Gold Medal; 1-PSA Silver Medal; 1-PSA Bronze Medal, 6-PSA Honorable Mention Ribbons

Additional PSA Silver Medals, Bronze Medals and Honorable Mention Ribbons will be awarded depending on the number of entries received.

Each Image must have a unique title. Once an image has been accepted in any PSA Recognized Exhibition, regardless of section or Division, that same image, or a like “in camera” or a “reproduction” duplicate of that image may not be retitled if used in any other PSA Recognized Exhibition.

Titles will be not read aloud during judging.

Please limit titles to 35 characters including spaces and punctuation. The Entry Form software will clip any excess characters resulting in an incomplete title for inclusion in the Catalog. This will cause problems when applying for Star Ratings.

Titles used for a 3D image in one media (Slide, Print or Digital) must be used for that same image in all other 3D media.

Use sRGB color space for your .jpg files to provide provide the best image quality under the projection conditions used for judging the exhibition and producing the exhibition show. Do not use CMYK color space. CMYK images will not project correctly during judging.

Each 3D image should consist of two (2) individual images submitted as a single digital file composed of a Left image on the left and a Right image on the right.

Maximum image width (horizontal) of each individual image should not exceed 1920 pixels and the maximum height (vertical) should not exceed 1080 pixels, resulting in a maximum combined image file width (horizontal) of 3840 pixels and a maximum image height (vertical) of 1080 pixels. Images larger in either dimension will be rejected.

Save your .jpg images at the maximum image quality that gives a file size no greater than 2000k. The .jpg extension must be in lower case letters.

You do not have to follow any naming convention for your .jpg files when you enter. The on-line entry form software will properly rename your files to meet the needs of our exhibition software.

We recommend saving your .jpg images in a special folder on your computer using the image title as the file name. That will make it easier to pick the correct image when using the Entry Form browser to attach your images.

Accepted Images, including award winners, will be on display at www.psaexhibition.com. Accepted images including all award winners will also be shown twice at the 2013 PSA International Conference in Portland, Maine between September 16, 2013 and September 20, 2013.

Also check your Junk E-Mail or spam folder to see if any messages from the exhibition were put there by your email software.
