Monochrome Definition

Monochrome is defined as having no more than two colors, monochrome plus one other color.

Titles

Titles will not be read aloud during judging. Please limit titles to 35 characters including spaces and punctuation. The Entry Form software will clip any excess characters resulting in an incomplete title that could cause you problems when applying for a star rating.

Color Space

Using sRGB color space for your color .jpg files is recommended as it will provide better quality under the projection conditions used for judging the exhibition and producing the exhibition show.

Image Size

Maximum digital image width (horizontal) is 1024 pixels. Maximum digital image height (vertical) is 768 pixels.

Images larger in either dimension will be rejected by the entry software.

Smaller images are acceptable but place you at a disadvantage.

Save your .jpg images using the maximum image quality of 9 and no large than 850k.

File Names

You do not have to follow any naming convention for your .jpg files when you enter. The on-line entry form will properly rename your files to meet the needs of our exhibition software.

We recommend saving your .jpg images in a special folder on your computer using the image title as the file name. That will make it easier to pick the correct image when using the Entry Form browser to attach your images.

Submitting Entries

All digital files must be submitted On-Line using the Digital Entry Form. After you have carefully read these "information and instructions", and after double checking to make sure your files are no larger than 1024 pixels wide and no larger than 768 pixels high, click here to fill out the Digital Entry Form, attach your files and submit them. Digital entries on CD via postal mail will not be accepted.

Status List

After you submit your electronic entry, you will receive an email with your name, address, email, etc. plus the image titles you typed in. Please review and if you made any errors, please contact the Digital Chairman by clicking bembrit@bellsouth.net to resolve.

Click Here To Review The Entry Status List - The entries are processed periodically and the status report indicates the time/date of the last status list update and the next scheduled status list update.

If any problems are noted in the status list, please contact the Digital Chairman by clicking bembrit@bellsouth.net to resolve.

General Conditions and Rules
Maker's Name: The maker's name and/or image title shall not be in the image area or in any other area visible to the judges of any digital files, slides or prints.

Original Image Statement: Entries must originate as photographs (image-captures of object via light sensitivity) made by the entrant on photographic emulsion or acquired digitally. By virtue of submitting an entry, the entrant certifies the work as his/her own and permits the sponsors to reproduce all or part of the entered material free of charge for publication and/or display in media related to the exhibition. This may include low resolution posting on a web site. The exhibition assumes no liability of any misuse of copyright. All final work must be on photographic film, digital file, on photographic print material or digital print material, mounting excepted.

Previously Accepted Images: An image previously accepted in any PSA International Electronic Imaging Division section is not eligible for entry in any Electronic Imaging Division section of the 2009 PSA International.

Duplicate Images: The same image may not be submitted in more than one Electronic Imaging Section of the 2009 PSA International. This means images submitted in one Electronic Imaging section may not be submitted in the other Electronic Imaging section. Please note: Different images using the same title will be considered the same image.

Emails: Entry confirmation for on-line entries and Report Cards will be sent to entrants via email from the Chairman Email Address above. Please be sure that this email address has been included in your "safe" email addresses to assure receipt of these emails instead of having them blocked by your security system.

Exhibition Is Open: The exhibition is open to anyone; however, an entry may be rejected when the sponsoring organization or its agent, in its reasonable discretion, believes the entry does not conform to the exhibition rules and conditions.
